THE ROLE

Description: Kitchen Managers in Wimbledon, SW19

Kitchen Porter is recruiting an immediately available Kitchen Porter for a busy commercial kitchen in York. You'll be the person who keeps everything moving behind the scenes: pots washed, sides cleared, bins emptied, stock rotated — so the chefs can focus on getting food out. It's hands-on, fast-paced work, and previous experience is useful but not essential; what matters most is reliability and a willingness to graft during service.

What you'll be doing

• Washing pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment throughout service
• Keeping kitchen floors, surfaces and bins clean, tidy and safe
• Supporting chefs with basic prep, deliveries and stock rotation
• Following food hygiene, health & safety and COSHH procedures
• Managing waste and recycling in line with site policy
• Working calmly as part of a team under pressure during peak service

What we're looking for

• A reliable, punctual approach and a strong work ethic
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work at pace
• Team player who communicates well with chefs and front of house
• Right to work in the UK
• Kitchen porter or dishwashing experience is a plus, not a requirement
