Role Overview: Restaurant Hosts in Manchester, M1
We are currently hiring an energetic and hard-working Restaurant Hosts in Manchester, M1 to join our team in York. Whether you are beginning your path in the hospitality industry, have gained a level 1 catering course or nvq hospitality level 1, or are studying through hospitality and catering courses online, this position offers hands-on experience in a productive, high-standard commercial kitchen environment. Our kitchen partnerships range from boutique hotel venues and corporate event venues like delaware north catering, sodexo hospitality, and centerplate catering, to bustling town bistros and contract dining facilities. This temporary position is ready for an ASAP Start.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and safe food storage according to safety protocols.
- Operate industrial dishwashers, clean cooking equipment, prep surfaces, pots, and utensils efficiently.
- Assist kitchen chefs with basic food prep such as peeling, washing, and batch vegetable sorting.
- Unload stock, deliveries, and monitor waste disposal safely and responsibly.
- Uphold health and safety standards aligned with city and guilds catering level 2 and nvq level 2 hospitality and catering kitchen procedures.
Qualifications & Ideal Background:
While previous experience is beneficial, full on-site induction is provided. This role is a superb practical match for candidates with or working towards:- WJEC hospitality and catering level 1 2 or hospitality and catering Eduqas certifications
- BTEC catering and hospitality or BTEC hospitality and catering level 3
- City and Guilds in catering or a level 2 chef course
- NVQ level 2 catering courses, NVQ level 3 catering and hospitality, or adults exploring catering courses for adults near me
- Candidates with clear communication skills, punctuality, and an eagerness to work in active kitchen environments.
